Catherine Matthews (she/they) is a public librarian and self-taught, multidisciplinary artist living on Duwamish land (Seattle, WA). She views art making as a site for emotional and physical integration; continuous learning and growth; and experimentation through iterative process. Often testing out new techniques and modalities, she works across a variety of mediums as a way to playfully translate her dreams and lived experiences into the physical form. Her work bridges the invisible and the material, infusing everyday scenes with a touch of childlike magic and whimsy.
